The Data and Analytics Group (DAG) within the Intel IT business segment is chartered with delivering and maintaining world-class data and analytics capabilities that equip the business to capture value through consistent, accurate, reliable and high-quality data and cutting-edge data, reporting and analytical solutions.

Key focus areas for the DAG include: maturing enterprise data governance, leveraging core (master) data management, establishing an enterprise data foundation, and delivering strategic data assets and insights.

We are seeking a passionate systems analyst and data modeler to focus on designing/analyzing Enterprise Master Data systems for Customer and Supplier domains and designing/modeling APIs that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture including:

  • Collecting and analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system.
  • Preparing flow charts, models, and procedures and conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Preparing and maintaining technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Leveraging agile methodology to design and configure solutions.
  • Working with and collaborating with IT and biz teams towards developing a best practice for data creation, maintenance, governance, quality and efficiencies.
  • Developing use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, and planning and coordinating testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications and providing support.
  • Performing data rationalization and system integration (by understanding the source and target data) and building the data mapping.
  • Developing the linkages (traceability) to the enterprise data logical data models for application specific operational/analytical physical data models.

In addition the ideal candidate should also have the following skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of the Item/Product master data domain
  • Must have a growth mindset, demonstrating a 'can do' attitude in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, since they interact with Data Stewards, developers, business users, DBAs and infrastructure resources


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or any other related field
  • 5+ years of proven working experience as a Systems Analyst and/or Data Modeler with working experience in one or more of the following: SQL databases, NoSQL, HANA, Hadoop

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Data modeling in HANA Studio
  • Managing or executing data cleansing, data mapping, and data governance areas
  • Assisting in developing, normalizing, and maintaining data standards and definitions
  • Developing processes, tools and integration for Master Data Processes, including data cleansing and data validation
  • Mapping of Master data and integration from the legacy environment to the target environment
  • Exposure to Scrum, agile/SAFE methodologies and practices

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
