At Apple, quality is a top priority. As the iPhone Systems QA Manager you will be leading a team of quality-focused engineers responsible for driving that focus. You will work cross-functionally to identify and highlight key issues in a dynamic environment, facing exciting new challenges daily. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, patience, and a real passion for customer advocacy.

The iPhone Systems QA team ensures quality for iPhone projects by focusing on two areas: system-level manual testing of new iPhone features and usage in the iPhone ecosystem. Our Test Engineers identify areas of focus and work with PD and other engineering teams to identify areas to improve. Using both objective metrics and customer experience simulations we drive change to a high quality bar.

  • Executive presence: Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to product quality
  • Leading others: A history of leading cross-functional teams and managing cross-functional programs to ensure successful products
  • Bigger picture: Being able to connect a complicated ecosystem and ensure quality across multiple projects

Description
- Bring technical depth to help solve challenging and novel problems and enable quantitative measurements of quality
- Deliver clear reports to partners and executives as products under test move through each development phase
- Take ownership of issues from multiple lines of business and drive them to resolution
- Balance priorities between short term results and long term infrastructure improvements
- Continuously improve tests and processes with a drive towards innovation
- Contribute to project leadership for iPhone and its ecosystem

Education & Experience

BS, CS, EE, CE, or equivalent experience
