This is an excellent opportunity to be part of IP Engineering Group (IPG) doing exciting work in the validation of IP targeted for next generation multiple Server microprocessor lines across Intel.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to

  • Ensuring the logical design of an IP satisfies the architectural specification
  • Creating and optimizing the validation environment, tools and methodologies
  • Developing or using checking software to compare model behavior against a specification
  • Generating focused/random test cases, develop/analyze coverage and debugging failure cases
  • Writing software to provide controllability and observability into the architectural model


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of experience - OR - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience in:

  • IP validation/verification experience in FPGA, ASIC or custom IC designs
  • Creating and optimizing the complex validation environment and generating focused and random test cases, analyzing coverage and debugging failure cases
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills and ability to work closely with various chip design disciplines and cross site teams
  • Good understanding of IP and SoC practices and methodologies
  • Customer and result oriented, highly organized, highly analytical and procedural, and be able to work on multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to create and document plans

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience performing IP and/or SoC functional validation using System Verilog
  • Experience in UVM/OVM
  • Experience using scripting languages in design automation using with languages such as TCL, Perl, JSON, Python
  • Experience in leading frontend activities including frontend integration or validation
