Summary

Are you ready to explore a new technology and product space with a hardworking and collaborative team? Apple's Technology Development Group is seeking an experienced engineer to integrate exciting new frameworks and features into iOS. An ideal applicant would have experience shipping mission critical components and profound knowledge of Apple's iOS release process. This team is building the core foundational platform for some of Apple's most advanced technologies including the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) support offered in ARKit and Metal. Key Qualifications

  • Familiarity with iOS B&I process
  • Strong experience with compiler toolchains and Xcode
  • Familiar with BATS, ATP, Guardian
  • Advanced knowledge of GIT
  • Understanding of software dependencies
  • Ability to design and implement custom automation pipelines
  • Experience with CI systems (e.g. Jenkins) and build and release processes
  • Solid fundamental knowledge of software engineering techniques, methodologies and best practices

Description
- As a member of our fast-paced group you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to work with a dynamic and hardworking team. We are looking for a talented engineer who is dedicated to delivering high-quality software through engineering standard methodology. You will be responsible for managing source control, CI, triage, iOS submissions and daily internal builds. You will work closely with our Infrastructure, Automation, QA and Performance teams to ensure that iOS submissions are successful (e.g. submitted on time for our release cadence, dependencies are know and tracked, deprecations polices are adhered to etc.). Use you skills to design and implement automation systems to streamline our integration and release processes. The candidate should be collaborative, driven by innovation and versatile. Familiarity with and interest in games and 3D graphics technologies is an advantage. Profound knowledge of iOS internals and release process is a requirement

Education & Experience

Minimum of 3 years industry experience

Additional Requirements

  • Proficient in Objective-C (desired)
  • Experience working with latency-critical software (desired)
  • Basic knowledge of 3D computer graphics (desired)
  • Python/Swift programming skills (desired)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good understanding of various SDLC methodologies
  • Open to creative feedback, and bringing creative solutions to the table
  • Highly organized and motivated with a deep desire to prove themselves within a company of
