Job Description

Components Research (CR) integration technicians are responsible for technical functions in an exciting research and development environment in which Industry-first technologies are being explored.

Responsibilities include experimental flow tracking/changes, process development and characterization, failure analysis, analytical and metrology data collection.

Work is performed within generally defined parameters, in close interactions with engineers. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

A successful candidate must exhibit the following traits:

  • Flexible to work in multi-tasking environment and self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.

  • Communication skills and be able to work and interact with others.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through schoolwork and/or classes and/or project work and/or internships and/or military training and/or work experience.

Minimum qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field or Mechanical/Technical Certification or equivalent.

Candidate is willing to:

  • Work a 12-hour compressed work week shift. Shift alternates between three and four day work weeks

  • Work on a computer terminal for 5-6 hours/day

  • Work in a clean room environment, wearing Gortex gowns, booties, safety glasses and gloves

  • Work in a lab environment to prepare samples and running scanning electron microscope for Failure Analysis and Process Debug

  • Operate optical and electron microscopes and metrology equipment, up to 4 hours/day

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor processes and imaging/metrology equipment.

  • Experience with failure analysis (Scanning Electron Microscope or Focused Ion Beam along with other analytical tools).

  • End-user computer skills and navigation, ability to learn new software, technical data analysis, and data base experience.
