WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:

As the Contractor Logistics Support - Deployment, Fielding, and Sustainment (DFS) Integrated Product Team Lead youll report to the Strategic Sensor Systems DFS Integrated Product Team Lead in the Whole Life Engineering (WLE) Directorate under the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Business Area.

As the Integrated Product Team Lead for this Program, youre responsible for overall leadership of the Integrated Product Team, including:
  • Capture opportunities thru the proposal process
  • Coordinating program start-up activities
  • Executing the delivery of the products and services.

As part of these leadership responsibilities, youll work directly with the Raytheon Contractor Logistics Support Program Management team and will engage in the following:
  • Maintaining the primary interface between Contracts Logistics Support and Missile Defense Agency counterparts to ensure key hand-offs are identified
  • Ensuring any issues/challenges are surfaced and resolved in a timely manner
  • Identification of corresponding risks and opportunities
  • Ensuring products/services are delivered on time and on-schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Ensuring performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality and EXIM requirements
  • Supporting follow-on program pursuits and ensuring accurate and complete cost and technical proposal development
  • Ensuring accurate and complete Control Account Management, Earned Value Analysis and Estimates at Completion
  • Supporting the Chief Engineer and Technical Lead in developing product roadmaps and strategies enabling the program to pursue and capture growth opportunities
  • Ensuring maximum commonality and re-use across the product and proactively addressing obsolescence, producibility, testability and supportability
  • Cultivating an inclusive culture where people are encouraged to identify issues early and present alternative viewpoints
  • Providing leadership and management to the various functional Cross Product Teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of products and services from within the Integrated Product Team
  • Executing to achieve technical, cost and schedule requirements during PMX Gates 3 thru 11 including management of associated risks and opportunities

Approximately 15 % travel required. Primarily domestic with some international


An advanced degree can be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: BS in a STEM degree or BA in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics
Employment Experience:
  • 10+ years of Program, Project, Technical / Engineering or equivalent leadership/management experience in a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience developing Performance Measurement Baselines, implementing EVMS, developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules, Risk & Opportunity Management or related program or project management tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Familiarity with DoD programs/contracts
  • Experience planning and executing life cycle sustainment of complex systems
  • Subcontract Management experience
  • Demonstrated success guiding cross functional teams
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement or streamlining methodology
  • EVMS or equivalent, certification
  • Experience managing through organizational change and rapid growth with ability to lead by influence and collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • International assignment experience
