Job Summary:
As an Instructional Design / Training Specialist, youre responsible for the design and development of training materials and courseware in support of Instructor Led Computer Base Training for the selected target audience. Youre also seen as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) using the following development platforms, Dreamweaver and HTML 5.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The position will be responsible for:
  • Developing across several platforms such as Web, Interactive Distance Learning (IDL), Virtual Classroom Training (VCT), Computer Based Training using Dreamweaver/ HTML 5 and Instructor-Led hands-on training
  • Participating in concept development, design ideation and detailed specification of visual design production
  • Researching content and gleaning information from technical, soft skill and/or business documentation as well as engineering personnel or other technical subject matter experts to design the appropriate learning solution
  • Experience applying the ADDIE model for eLearning, Virtual Classroom and CBT Instructor-Led training
This position can be a Salary Grade P3 or a Salary Grade P4 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

At the P3 level, an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience may be considered for this role. A PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this role.

At the P4 level, an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience may be considered for this role.

Travel to customer sites approximately 10 25% of the time.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: Bachelors Degree. An additional 2 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college.
Employment Experience:
  • 5+ years experience with curriculum design development and/or delivery in a military or civilian environment
  • Experience with Dreamweaver or HTML development and delivery
  • Experience with Computer Based Training / Instructor-Led technical training
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Must be able to perform design/development duties with minimal coaching while adhering to pre-established guidelines
  • Experience with HTML 5
  • Experience with THAAD or Patriot missile systems
  • Proficient to expert in industry standard tools to create impactful courses, including a solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies
  • Instructor experience for both design and delivery of technical training
  • A methodical, organized approach to work, and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Teaming Skills
  • Excellent delivery and execution skills
  • Military instructor experience
