Apple is seeking a highly skilled and outstanding Insider Threat professional with a deep understanding of our hardware and software to join a world-class Digital Crimes Team. In this position, you will work with many teams within Information Security, across Apple and external to the company to maintain Apple's security and privacy values.

Key Qualifications

  • 5-10 years experience in investigations with a strong understanding of incident response and digital forensics
  • Proven ability to understand unique team operations, envision security investigation models, and work thru Insider Threat specific scenarios
  • Strong, demonstrable experience collaborating with law enforcement, government and private companies on security matters
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively convey complex security issues to senior leadership
  • Expert level knowledge of Apple hardware, operating systems and iCloud technologies
  • Proficient with device level data and extraction from Macintosh and iOS based hardware
  • Must be Top Secret clearance eligible and willing to complete all necessary steps upon hire

Description

Upon joining the Digital Crimes Team, you will find yourself immediately challenged with critically thinking thru scenarios of Insider Threat models with teams across the company. To accomplish this, you will be tasked with understanding and envisioning how an internal threat actor would attempt to take advantage of our systems. Your keen ability to forge relationships and understand deeply what teams do will be your greatest key to success in our Insider Threat Program. You will also find yourself researching unreleased products, with little documentation to assist. Success with this type of research requires a highly motivated individual who can earn the trust of engineering teams, and forge long-term partnerships for the benefit of both involved. You will be challenged to present your security research to peers and leadership thru written and Keynote presentations.

PREFERRED:
- Experience writing reports that may be presented in a court of law
- Experience with case management software or equivalent
- Experience with digital forensics tools, especially related to Apple devices
- Already holds Secret clearance or above

Education & Experience

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, equivalent degree, or relevant work experience

Additional Requirements

  • - Requires on-call support and could include nights, weekends and early mornings
  • - Travel is expected at various times of the year
