Job Description

Looking for a challenge? Intel's Computational and Modeling Technology (CMT) group is looking for engineers with software expertise who can help us push Intel's computing capabilities even further. We are looking for new team members who will be passionately motivated by seeing their work go into new advanced processors that will be used by millions of end-users.

In this position you will participate in the development of next-generation computational imaging tools, which are an important contributor to Intel's march along Moore's Law. You will be actively engaged in the development of new algorithms and working to invent new methods to improve lithography patterning at Intel. You will be involved in applying Big Data algorithms to find new ways to solve challenging real-world problems. You will also be involved in supporting mission-critical software in a production environment.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits:

This is an entry-level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus

  • 6+ months of experience in Coding

  • 6+ months of development experience in a Linux environment

Preferred Qualification

6 months of experience in/with the following:

  • Experience in Optical Proximity Correction (OPC), lithography simulation, and physical modeling

  • Experience in Electromagnetic Theory and Diffractive Optics

  • Familiarity with Technology CAD tools or numerical process simulators

  • Familiarity with large scale data processing and database design

  • Familiarity with AI algorithms

  • Experience with big data visualization
