Job Description

Intel Foundry Services is looking for an a highly motivated technology strategist to help us develop and deliver world class silicon technology for our customers. This role requires breadth and depth in silicon process technology and product development coupled with good business and engineering judgement. The role involves understanding customer product roadmaps and mapping it to IFS capabilities, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities (yield, performance etc) and making recommendations to help grow into a position of leadership. The role involves partnership and collaboration within Intel as well as with external customers. On the external side, this individual will collaborate with client engineering, sales and product teams, industry analysts and research organizations. On internal side, this individual will interface with technology development, pathfinding, test-chip, manufacturing, IP, SOC and platform engineering teams, data scientists, sales, legal, and finance.


Understands customers product roadmap, needs and map it to IFS capabilities.

Influences technology and IP roadmaps to align internal development with market opportunity.

Explores, evaluates and recommends optimal combinations of process technology, packaging, IP and SOC design and implementation.

Provides architectural guidance and tradeoff recommendations throughout the design process from concept through production.

Evaluates Intel and external IPs on power, performance, area, cost, feature set, readiness, ease of integration and maturity.

Establishes methodology for component and IP evaluation including working with customers and IFS teams to make test-chips, model key KPIs pre-silicon and correlate with post-silicon measurements.

Develops collaterals for out-bound activities including RFI/RFQ and collaterals to support sales and pre-sales activities.

Presents periodic market intelligence and client engagement reports to leadership.


Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Prior experience in process technology path-finding preferred.
