Job Summary:

The Campaign Manager, reporting to the Hypersonics Campaign Senior Director, is responsible for leading cross functional teams focused on the following areas: contributing to the development of strategy, opportunity advancement, customer engagements, influencing requirements through the development of shaping artifacts, and building trusted relationships internal and external to Raytheon Technologies. This position will drive cross mission area collaboration to fill critical gaps, identify discriminators, support investment planning, and manage spend plans with the principle objective of identifying and/or accelerating Hypersonic bookings. The successful candidate will collaborate with relevant mission area functional teams across the enterprise, as well as the Customer Requirements and Capabilities Organization, aligning people, technology, and the objectives of individual captures with the overall portfolio campaign strategy.

The Campaign Manager will work to ensure business area investment plans are aligned with Hypersonic campaign investments. He or she will work with the strategy and market analysts to drive long term stability to the Hypersonic opportunity pipeline through regular market/budget analysis, regular customer engagement and analysis, and collaboration with RMD government affairs and RMD consultants. He or she will recommend priorities, efficiencies, and refinements when necessary, and will regularly validate captures/pursuit strategies. The Campaign Manager is equally responsible for recommending no pursue or do not invest recommendations to terminate activities that do not indicate growth potential or are no longer aligned to the campaign strategy. Analysis capabilities should lead to mature assessments of market opportunities and potential domestic and international industrial partners and be shared with the mission and capture area teams. These insights should also contribute to the research, operational analysis, modeling and simulation/digital engineering environment leveraged for shaping requirements and influencing customer buying decisions. He or she will leverage their understanding of RTX and competitor products / capabilities for the development of hypersonic solutions for our domestic and international customers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Coordinate and lead collaborative working sessions in partnership with Technical Director to develop end to end analysis, models and simulations that influence customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with hypersonic strategy functional area to validate and revise strategic assessment across hypersonic portfolio by taking in inputs from evolving capture win strategies, black hats, gate reviews, customer feedback, continued market analysis, etc.; revalidate semiannually.
  • Connect with teams across the enterprise to drive efficiencies in investments, managing talent, driving consistent messaging support acceleration of hypersonic capability maturation and increased PoA.
  • Lead the development of talking point prep, whitepaper/fast fact sheet and industry day preparations in coordination with mission area capture teams.
  • Help maintain ERPM data integrity for Hypersonic portfolio.
  • Leverage existing and build new relationships in the customer stakeholder community through proactive research and current event awareness.
  • Support early identification and mitigation of barriers by creating strategies that address issues from the customer perspective.
  • Work with cross functional team to develop solutions that may include leveraging nontraditional teammates, international partnerships, or other business frameworks to meet customer needs.
  • Support preparation of marketing and advanced media material development as part of the integrated marketing communications campaign plan and customer engagement plan.
  • Collaborate across mission areas within RMD, across RTX, and with external key partners to engineer multi-domain warfighting capabilities tied to growth opportunities and tasks.
  • Identify RTX and partner discriminators to inform technology and investment decisions.
  • Support the building customer trust through technical excellence and national-level thought leadership relating kill chain elements of today to the customer priorities of tomorrow to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree; preferably in Engineering or Business related field.
  • 12+ years of related work experience with Bachelors degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with US Department of Defense as a customer
  • Prior experience with successfully leading strategy development, customer solution development, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with presenting, training and communicating with internal and external organizations.
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with business development / acquisition process for Dept of Defense, Federal Government, or Defense Industry
  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense and high speed weapons
  • Current or previous experience in the DoD marketspace, preferably with Hypersonic or high-speed weapons programs (industry or government)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
