Apple is looking for a Human Factors anthropometry engineer to assist and drive anthropometric scanning and analysis to inform product research, design, and development of hardware products

  • Exhibit strengths in working with technical equipment, specifically 3d scanning or metrology based equipment
  • Experience with collaborating on designing and executing thorough design of experiments, working with user study participants, conducting un-biased scanning and anthropometry efforts, utilizing the scientific method, performing statistical analyses, and visualizing information

Description

Apply Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and Anthropometry techniques and principles to support all phases of product/technology development in the context of scanning and anthropometry. Work closely with other Human Factors Specialists and HF Engineers in developing study methodology, executing data collection efforts, and interpreting data to drive actionable outcomes

Develop best practices for scanning methodology (including equipment and processes) for hardware development and maintain flexibility in collaborating on several concurrent projects

Conduct anthropometry and scanning research and evaluation for design concept models on a diverse user population utilizing experimental methodologies, anthropometric databases, and scientific publications

Conduct statistical, qualitative, and quantitative analysis of data. Work with HF Engineers to provide clear and concise feedback to teams in a timely manner.

Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product development groups

Maintain an active working knowledge of worldwide 3d scanning, anthropometry, metrology, and modeling/CAD publications and standards
