We are currently seeking a proven, high performing, HR professional to fill a key HR Partner role in support of multiple Raytheon Missiles and Defense Naval Power and Land Warfare &Air Defense Mission Areas, reporting to the HR Director of Naval Power. In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will partner and collaborate with business leaders and HR colleagues within the Mission Areas (MA). You will engage to understand the business strategies and objectives of each organization, while applying HR solutions in a proactive manner, consistent with the HR vision and mission. As the primary HR partner to members of the MA leadership teams, you will help develop the MA HR strategy, lead all HR solutions/projects and represent the HR Director in leadership meetings/engagements as needed. The ability to build relationships, coach and influence leaders, exercise good judgment and work effectively across the Raytheon Technologies matrix is critical in this role. Additionally, the confidence to proactively stretch yourself and engage in dialogue with leaders to facilitate their buy-in and engagement to drive optimal solutions is key to success for this role. The successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of how HR can support business growth and performance by aligning the right solutions, ideas, skills and people both domestically and globally. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking to stretch and develop their HR capabilities in preparation for a higher-level HR leadership role.

Responsibilities to anticipate:
  • Utilize flexible coaching style to coach VP and executive level leaders and their management teams to improve their leadership effectiveness and success
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to influence leadership and be a catalyst for change and improvement, while delivering the full scope of HR solutions including but not limited to:
  • Talent acquisition
  • Change Management
  • Performance management
  • Leadership capability and development
  • Compensation planning
  • Employee development
  • Succession planning
  • Organizational effectiveness & organizational development
  • Coach leaders at all levels to increase understanding and application of HR processes such as performance development, talent acquisition, talent reviews, transfers, salary planning, etc.
  • Translate 1 2 year business and HR strategies into operational and actionable project plans related to Compensation, Performance, Talent Development, Workforce Planning, Change Management or other HR disciplines
  • Engage in development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Ability to synthesize data and information into actionable plans and effectively communicate/dialogue with leaders to facilitate their buy-in and engagement
  • Engage with and influence leaders and employees to drive complex business/employee problems to resolutions balancing business requirements, employee advocacy and policy compliance
  • Complete tasks that involve the development and manipulation of data (Excel spreadsheets and HR tools) and analysis of that data

The work location will be Tucson, AZ, with limited travel as required. No relocation is being offered. Job will be performed part-time remote with regular onsite presence required.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Must have strong foundational competency in leadership coaching and influence management skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of styles at all levels in the organization; this role will interface regularly with Executive Director level leaders
  • Must be innovative, agile and a strong change agent who seeks opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple HR functional disciplines to develop solutions
  • Ability to think logically and independently to comprehend complex issues and identify opportunities to add value and deliver effective solutions
  • Strong organizational/follow-up skills and ability to prioritize and drive multiple and diverse tasks to closure concurrently
  • Results-oriented with excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, oral and presentation

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree and 10+ years applicable experience or Masters degree and 7+ years of applicable experience
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Psychology, or other related discipline.
  • Experience with HR business applications and systems

Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with HR business applications and systems, such as Peoplesoft, Workday, Cognos, and applicant tracking, or similar database and query tools
  • Experience working in federal contracting industry, particularly with Department of Defense
