Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Platform Solutions Architect, who is passionate about the opportunity to build solutions for the Lab and Life Science, vertical in the Health and Life Sciences Emerging Technology business unit. You will join a nimble and fast-paced cross-organizational team, driven to incubate innovative and deliver solutions in the life of sciences sector, including research clinical pharma omics and agbio. The Health and Life Sciences Emerging Technologies Business Unit, is poised for explosive growth in areas such as AI edge computing and high performance platforms and solutions.

In this role you will research, recommend, specify and document technology HW and SW for solutions in support of organizations strategic vision. Work to design develop and analyze overall solution, architecture and partitioning between hardware and software, to meet use cases and workloads in terms of performance scalability, manageability, reliability and security requirements. Lead incubation proof of concepts with customers and cross Business Units collaborators, Influence the shaping of future products solutions by significantly contributing to the architecture and technology employed throughout the compute continuum. Enable and empower the field with deep technical understanding and technical collateral, for field and customer consumption, respond to customer requests or events as they occur and develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. Participate in competitive analysis market analysis and various strategic task forces, defining solutions that fit into edge to cloud architectures. Become a trusted advisor to the sales force and voice of the customer for the Business Units.

The ideal candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated teamwork and communication skills

  • Demonstrated written verbal and presentation skills required in the development of technical documents and presentations to customers

  • Strong Technical skills attention to detail and organization to coordinate a variety of stakeholders

  • Strong background in relationship management and the skills to communicate effectively with senior executives at both Intel and external customers

  • Demonstrated skills to lead without authority across extensive multifunction multi-geo stakeholder communities


Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Requirement for International and Domestic business travel to customers partners or other Intel sites and tradeshows in the future.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

6+ years as Bachelor or 4+ years as Master of experience in some of the following areas:

  • Technical engineering role (ODM/OEM/SI/ISV)

  • Life Sciences

  • Development of technical documents and presentations to customers

Preferred Qualifications:

6+ years as Bachelor or 4+ years as Master of experience in some of the following areas:

  • Understanding device to cloud solutions including AI

  • Experience with Intel Architecture (IA) server platforms integration with the integration and testing of IA server products in a Windows or Linux operating system environment
