The Health Software Quality team is looking for a talented QA Manager to lead a fantastic group of QA Engineers who test Health-related applications and features. We're looking for an amazing leader who would like to play a key role in qualifying iOS and watchOS Health applications and the frameworks that support them. We work in an energizing environment that is fast-paced and relies heavily on a tight relationship between Development and QA.

As a member of our fast-paced group in Apple Health, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape and improve the software that allows our products to delight and inspire millions of Apple's customers every day.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Software Quality Manager or Program Manager preferably for consumer electronics
  • Customer Focused: Passionate about user-focused design, high-quality technology, and what we can do to improve it
  • Team Builder: Proven track record demonstrating the ability to attract, hire, motivate and develop the best engineers
  • Exec Presence: Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer experience
  • Technically Agile: Ready to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also discuss these topics to a non-technical audience
  • Priority Driven: At ease working in a continually changing, dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
  • Understands and practice a balanced approach to managing the team and the projects you are responsible for
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail

Description

In this position, you will lead a team of QA engineers that test applications and features that are related to Apple's efforts in Health-related software. Your team will be responsible for manual and automated end-to-end testing of features and applications such as Health app, HealthKit, and Clinical Health Records. In this role, you would foster an environment that allows your team members to become the voice for the quality of the product, guide them in the design and implementation of test plans, and encourage open communication of potential project risks. You should be at ease working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in which developing and cultivating partnerships with multi-functional teams is key to longterm success. You will need to have a start-up mindset, always looking for creative ways to take on problems and increase the team's impact at Apple.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience in QA
