Job Description

 The desired candidate must be a solid communicator who can work within a dynamic team environment to support design and development of complex, multi-faceted systems. The candidate must have knowledge of hardware circuit design and development, MATLAB and Simulink, 3D CAD software, and electronic test equipment.

Education & Length of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist I

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hardware design using CAD software
  • Design experience for PCB development
  • Knowledge of test measurement platforms,
  • Experience with C++, Python, and/or C#
  • Prior experience with SolidWorks, MATLAB, Simulink and related software platforms.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and time constraints
  • Ability to self-motivate and derive specific requirements from general tasking descriptions 
  • Ability to work as part of a team on large, complex development efforts
  • Ability to assimilate and apply new job-related information in a timely manner
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on fielded hardware

• Experience installing equipment at field sites

• Experience interfacing with customers and internal team development

• Experience with power systems
