Job Description
At Intel, the GPU Software Engineering team has been at the forefront of designing and delivering solutions for all things graphics. From todays 3D and display usages to exciting new machine learning and AI markets. We are continuing to work on innovative integrated GPU and discrete graphics card designs for consumer and server markets. Within the team, the Security team is responsible for defining the overall security objectives and threat model of our products, defining the security architecture of these devices and IP delivered by the team, driving the group's secure development practices and carrying out offensive research on our products. The security team is involved from the early stages of product concept and definition working with the business units as well as engaging directly with customers, all the way through to final product qualification, ensuring best in class security through close continuous collaboration with all functional domains.

Responsibilities:
As a Security architect within the GSE Security team, you will be interfacing directly with partner business groups in the US and around the world as well as all internal teams within VTT to translate Market requirements and usages into security goals and associated security architecture for our products.

Your responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
Engaging with BU planning and marketing to help them define the applicable security capabilities based on key usages as they apply to GPUs.
Translate Landing Zone needs into detailed security objectives and threat models for GPUs.
Define a security architecture to meet the security objectives, working with HW and SW architecture.
Assess the security implications of all capabilities introduced into our products via architecture changes.
Perform detailed in-depth analysis of specific areas of the architecture to ensure the complete solution is secure
Carry-out complete risk assessment and vulnerability analysis for any issue found in existing products.
Support engineering teams in their implementation of the intended security architecture
Support offensive research on GPUs to address existing threats and anticipate new ones.


Qualifications

Required Experience:
BS/MS Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of industry experience in Security.
Proven track record of architecting / developing first-time-right products to meet aggressive timeline and development targets.
Deep Technical subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas is critical:
o Threat modeling
o Graphics
o Display
o Machine learning, deep learning
o X86 platform boot architecture (BIOS, UEFI)
o Windows OS and/or Linux OS
o Windows WDDM
o Cryptography
o Standard PC Interconnects: PCIe, USB

Desired Experience/Knowledge:
Deep technical expertise of platform architecture in the areas of power delivery, Memory devices.
Deep Learning specific frameworks (tensorflow, etc.).
Working understanding of typical SoC functional blocks such as Memory Subsystem, Standard Interfaces (PCIe/USB/I2C/GPIO/UART), etc. is essential.
OS bring-up and system boot familiarity preferred.
