Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware,  intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundary get in the way of solving problems.  We are looking for a Graphics Performance Verification Engineer to join our team. In this position you will work on RTL simulation and emulation models, execute synthetic and real-world workloads as well as analyze performance results.  You will also debug performance failures and work with designers and architects to resolve them.

In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Pre-silicon performance verification of Intel graphics cores, focusing on 3D, Compute and Memory Fabric.
  • Work closely with Architecture team during TR phase to develop verification strategy and test plans.
  • You will ensure platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components. 
  • Develop test plans, tests and verify the design meets the performance specifications.
  • Learn from past programs escapes and address verification gaps to improve IP quality.
  • Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the IP performance.


Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:

You must have bachelors degree Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3 + years of industry experience.  Or a masters degree in the same fields with 2+ years of industry experience.

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Logic design, architecture, verification
  • Pre-Si verification
  • Emulators/FPGA to do pre-silicon validation
  • UNIX and Windows OS
  • Design simulators, functional coverage concepts and implementation, testbench development, bus functional models, trackers, checkers, test development, execution, or debug  

Preferred Skills and Experience that will make you stand out:

  • Scripting (Python, Ruby, PERL)
  • SV assertions, coverage point coding
  • Simulator (capitalize) tools for debug
  • Pre-Si emulation flows, working with FSDB files, etc.
  • ASIC design flow and working knowledge of 3D Graphics
