Job Description

The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics (AXG) Group creates the devices at the heart of Intels datacenter computing strategy and that will lead the revolution in scalable visual computing. We are on a mission to bring zetta-scale computing to the world within the decade. Within AXG, the technology office (XTO) develops the software architectures needed to harness the raw power of our Xe GPUs.

 

If you have a passion for real-time 3D rendering and high-performance compute, we invite you to apply to be a part of the AXG Software Architecture team. We are looking for experienced candidates with 3D graphics or GPGPU compute backgrounds to focus on GPU performance benchmarking and analysis. By joining the AXG Software Architecture team, you'll have many exciting opportunities to directly impact the future of Xe GPU architecture.

 

In this role you will:

  • Implement and analyze microbenchmarks representative of algorithms used by AAA games and benchmarks.
  • Research and design new software and hardware performance solutions.
  • Develop architectural specifications from customer and market requirements.
  • Assist engineering teams to develop your designs into releasable products.
  • Promote your concepts via presentations, whitepapers, and public speaking to influence Intels roadmap and industry adoption.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience:

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Your experience must be in the following:

  • Hands-on experience with DirectX, Vulkan, OpenCL or equivalent APIs 
  • Hands-on experience with GPU performance analysis tools and methodologies

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Masters degree or PhD in the fields listed above. Along with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • A deep understanding of AAA game engine algorithms 
  • Track record of developing scalable GPU solutions for 3D or compute
  • Keen eye towards GPU performance profiling and optimizations 
  • Significant experience delivering high-quality system software using a variety of languages include C/C++ and Python 
  • Experienced with working in global team environment.
