Key Qualifications

  • Excellent programming skills and knowledge of C/C++
  • Expertise in compiler and compiler technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of GPU and CPU architectures
  • Strong background in compiler architecture, optimization, code generation and overall design of compilers
  • Experience in analyzing generated code for optimization opportunities
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills

Description

Apple Interactive Media Group (IMG) Compiler Team is seeking a compiler engineer to analyze, design, and modify the Metal Shading Language and compiler stack. As a member of the IMG Compiler team, you will work with the team to influence the shading language, deliver a fast and high quality static and JIT front-end and middle-ends, work with a world class team in integrate the compiler into the graphics platform to improve the graphic and compute potential for Apple products on iOS and MacOSX

Education & Experience

Working towards technical BS/MS degree

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with 3D Graphics and any GPU programming APIs like Metal, OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan, D3D
  • Familiarity with LLVM Compiler infrastructure would be useful
