Job Description

Intel develops best in class compute technology that is a critical part of our major product lines. We are looking for a GPU Architecture engineers to analyze deep learning networks, high performance compute (HPC) workloads to identify bottlenecks and performance issues, and to optimize the architecture to maximize performance. The compute architecture team is responsible for architecture analysis and projections to support the current Gen architectural process and beyond.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research on emerging deep learning networks, HPC workloads and algorithms, and requirement on Gen computer architecture.
  • Analyze and report out workload performance on new Gen compute architecture.
  • Optimize Gen compute architecture to maximize performance of a variety of deep learning networks
  • Collaborate with other architecture, modeling, and research teams and report out findings to broader cross organization forums


Behavioral traits that we are looking for:

  • Strong problem solving and leadership in driving execution across different functional team
  • Experience explaining complex technical concepts.


Minimum skill and experience:

Masters in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 1+ years of education or work experience.  Or a PhD in the same field.

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by December of 2021

Your experience should be in the following;

  • Programming skills: C/C++ or python
  • GPU programming, machine learning or high performance compute (HPC) experience
  • Computer architecture or GPU architecture

Preferred skill and experience:

An ideal candidate will have knowledge and/or experience in some of the following:

  • Deep learning workload understanding, e.g. CNN, NLP, RNN etc.
  • Machine learning kernel development experience in GPU.
