Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in Supply Chain Management to fill the critical Global Supply Chain Management Program Area Leader role in the strategically important Naval Surface and Undersea Systems Product Area. The Global Supply Chain Leader is accountable for all aspects of supply chain in production, development and classified program elements, delivering over $200M per year in supply chain content. This position reports to the Director of Global Supply Chain Management for the Naval Power Mission Area.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Develop and lead a team of both direct and matrixed employees responsible for managing the complete strategic and tactical supply chain needs of the product area.
  • Understands how to lead with other leaders, collaborate effectively, influence and be forward thinking to execute in dynamic environments across the organization internally and externally at all levels including core supply chain organizations, customer and supplier base, program managers, functional managers and business leaders.
  • Will create, manage and execute the material program strategies and plans for the program area, to ensure the competitiveness and performance of all programs throughout their entire lifecycle (proposal through closeout).
  • Will use sound business acumen in sales forecasting and execution, sourcing and win strategy development, proposal development, negotiations, Estimates at Completion (EAC), Risk and Opportunity Management, Earned Value Management (EVM), make/buy/where, Line of Balance, Hardware Build Chain & Can-Build metrics.
  • Will understand navigating regulatory compliance (i.e. FAR/DFARS, ITAR, OPSEC, security classification guides, public law, quality, warranty, etc.).
  • Will manage the overall supply chain responsibilities with Material Program Planning (MRP). And identifies and secures core supply chain resources necessary to support the capture and execution plans.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Program Management or Engineering
  • 12+ years supply chain experience in areas of material management, program management, sourcing, supplier management, subcontract management, procurement or engineering
  • Leadership experience leading multi-disciplined teams within a matrix organization, high-technology or large corporate environment
  • Strong negotiation experience within supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, sales or similar
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD)/Military (MIL) Standards and the military equipment acquisition and qualification process
  • US Citizenship

U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of employment with the ability to obtain special access as needed.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Masters Degree in relevant field of study such as Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering
  • Active current DoD Clearance
  • Demonstrated success in competitive pursuits
  • Knowledge of US defense industry supply base
  • Experience supporting product life cycle including development, production and sustainment
  • Experience in recruiting, training, mentoring, and coaching a diverse team
  • Knowledgeable and competent in supply chain and program tools and technology
  • Experience with schedule creation, maintenance, forecasting, and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and capabilities in implementing innovative system level solutions

This position requires an active security clearance (Secret / Top Secret) or ability to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
