Apple's Global Security Operations Center is looking for a reliable and detail oriented leader with an ability to focus on customer service and safety. As a GSOC CSM you will play a key role in Global Security, with oversight of a GSOC shift of 8-15 line GSOC CROs that provide 24/7/365 call center support and protection for employees, properties, products, and ideas in the Santa Clara Valley and on a global scale. This is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role set in a dynamic and fast-paced environment!

Key Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience within GSOC or Standard Deployment plus 6+ months of SOC experience
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, complete 3 - 6 months of onboarding and must be willing to work any shifts or trainings (24/7/365) that aligns with business needs and changes
  • Strong ability to develop, train and mentor a team of GSOC Control Room Operators
  • Demonstrate excellent communication with a strong attention to detail
  • Display a strong work ethic and decision making in both routine and urgent situations
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytic skills
  • Positive team leader with a passion for customer service, a high level of integrity, creativity, and accountability.
  • Eagerness to tackle additional duties that arise or are assigned


The ideal candidate must be confident in a fast paced, constantly evolving and complex work environment mixed with customer service, lead day-to-day GSOC activities and provide communications to key partners within Global Security, such as Standard Deployment, SIS, Building and Event Corporate Security Managers and Leadership. In addition, the duties include but are not limited to:
Supervise and provide direction to operators processing emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service through radio dispatch, phone, email and coordinate with Public Safety (law, fire, medical) for emergency services

Provide verbal, written, and electronic pass down information to fellow CSM or leadership prior to shift change

Project management, attend meetings, and communicate updates to the team which include conducting daily briefings that include hot topics, trainings, and event debriefs

Complete annual written performance evaluations, provide regular verbal and written feedback and observe GSOC CRO on the job training and progress

Respond to management requests for safety and/or security events, staffing deficiencies and other concerns

Keep accurate records of calls and prepare reports after priority or critical incidents for management review and awareness

Maintain time keeping systems, attendance records, administrative scheduling, and clerical work and at times, help with specialized research, presentations and take part in the interview or testing processes for new hires

Partner with the People Team for HR needs

Show initiative, author and update GSOC policy and procedures, suggest ideas towards improving business practices related to the GSOC and/or other remote Security Operations Centers (SOCs)

Occasionally work special events or details that may take place outside of the GSOC

Utilize a myriad of security software applications such as: access control systems, CCTV, electronic surveillance systems, panic and entry alarms, emergency notification system, and computer aided dispatch (CAD) and ensure functionality of GSOC enterprise systems to ensure working order and raise issue to appropriate support team for system evaluation

Monitor the status of field personnel and property, analyze situations accordingly and take effective action to ensure safety and security

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree preferred
