As the Global Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of key critical initiatives and practices targeted at improving compliance and reducing environmental impact for our operations globally. The Environment, Health & Safety team is growing, and we need energetic and dedicated professionals to join a dynamic team committed to protecting the environment, health, and safety of our employees, customers and the global communities where we operate.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, education, and overall strategic guidance of the company's environmental management system and initiatives.
The Global Environmental Manager will provide technical regulatory mentorship/advice to the sites, staff, and management on policy and regulatory development matters related to the electronics industry. This role will make critical decisions, provide insights and advice, and will lead the team of EHS's subject matter experts on environmental challenges and opportunities.

• Strong technical expertise in the area of environmental compliance in multi-national corporations and familiarity with global environmental regulations, initiatives and trends.
• Strong leadership and vision and with the shown ability to work across organizational boundaries and geographies
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and partners on strategic decisions across multiple functions and geographies
• Sound judgment and decision ownership in assessing and balancing risks while providing innovative and practical solutions
• Demonstrated experience in engaging with environmental regulatory agencies and industry partners
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional organizations to understand needs and translate them into meaningful plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute a range of global initiatives with global teams
• Experience developing robust technical teams
• Demonstrated proficiency in independently completing sophisticated tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Clear, concise and consistent communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Experience in integrating technology to build efficiencies with input, track and monitor compliance

Provide leadership, direction, and education of key strategic initiatives targeted at ensuring environmental compliance and environmental program advancement. Lead efforts to collaboratively develop and execute global environmental compliance and risk management programs and standards in alignment with Apple's core values and initiatives. Make critical decisions in sophisticated environmental risk management matters. See around corners and identify new and emerging environmental challenges. Provide innovative and practical solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timelines, likelihood of success, and risk.
Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements. Provide updates and relevant metrics to communicate to senior management providing insights on critical issues, opportunities, challenges and key outcomes and decisions. Establish global compliance dashboard. Develop, mentor and lead a robust team capable of meeting the challenges of Apple's dynamic environment. Handle budgets, control costs, and establish the resources required to optimally execute programs. Work with external vendors, agencies and labs to establish robust support for environmental programs. Support into efforts around Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria across Apple.

Education & Experience
- BS in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or environmental-related field of study
- MS and/or engineering license preferred
- Global hardware, software, and technology services sector experience
