Would you like to work in a fast-paced environment where your technical abilities will be challenged on a day to day basis? If so, Apple's Global Business Intelligence(GBI) team is seeking Data Engineers to work on building smart, intuitive platforms/products to provide insights to our business. The ideal team member will be able think outside of the box and should have real passion for building analytics solutions to enable business in making time sensitive and critical business decisions
Key Qualifications
You have 7+ years hands-on experience in various professional programming positions
You are more than proficient in Java/Scala/Python and hands-on JavaScript, HTML, CSS experiences is a plus
We value experience in developing RESTful APIs
Passion with relational and non-relational data stores (e.g.: Vertica, Cassandra, Redis, Teradata,Hadoop) & Big Data scale
One preferred experience is to have hands-on platform experience with Kubernetes & cloud technology stacks
Sound Experience with DevOps tools, and version control such as Docker, Jenkins, Puppet, Git is helpful in this role
You bring a depth of experience working with large code bases
Experience with or advance courses in data science and machine learning is an added plus
You are passionate about reaching millions of users across our varied platforms
You love collaborating under tight deadlines and pursuing problems with imaginative and elegant solutions even with ambiguous requirements
You have passion for technology, value life-long learning and enjoy finding the right tool for the job
You have excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Education & Experience
Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
