Job Description

Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Platforms Group (DPG) as a Front End Design Automation Engineer. This role is part of DPG's Ethernet Product Group Silicon Engineering Group where you will work as a Front End Design Automation Engineer for simulation platforms working on exciting products fueling the data center growth. In this position, you will develop and apply computer-aided design (CAD) software engineering flows, methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems, Work closely with project teams to listen, understand and drive requirements, specifications, and priorities and bring it all to develop. You will manage execution and plan, track dependencies, and deliver tool and flow releases, assessing architecture and hardware limitations plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software create infrastructure and workflows for RTL code.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and apply computer-aided design (CAD) software engineering flows, methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems

  • Work closely with project teams to listen, understand and drive requirements, specifications, and priorities and bring it all to development.

  • Manage execution and plan, track dependencies, and deliver tool and flow releases, assessing architecture and hardware limitations plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software create infrastructure and workflows for RTL code.

  • Drive new tool evaluation, methodology refinement for PPA optimization.

Qualifications

You must possess one or more of the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education Requirement:

       Bachelor's degree in degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering., or related field plus 6 years of industry work experience, or

       Master's degree in Electrical or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field plus 4 years of industry work experience, or

       PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related work experience.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

       2 plus years of experience with Linux and RTL design process, UPF, and power.

       2 plus years of experience with automation of methodologies/solutions using TCL, Python, PERL.

       2 plus years of experience with RTL Front End domains Simulation.

       2 plus years of experience working on complex ASIC projects.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

       EDA Tool Knowledge (desirable): Spyglass, VCS-MX, VC-LP, Questa, NCSIM, Verdi, Zebu, Veloce, Palladium

       Design Language (one or more): System Verilog, UVM/OVM, VHDL, UPF, IP-XAC
