Job Description

As the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Business Unit within Intel, we will continue drive the future of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology. PSG continues to deliver industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers, and to take advantage of the many opportunities that we see in the future for FPGA's, the Network Acceleration Team is seeking a FPGA Systems IP Design Engineer to join our team.

The Network Acceleration Team is responsible for next generation hardware acceleration products. As a member of this team, you will:

  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for IP and SoC (System on a Chip) development for FPGA and/or ASIC.

  • Determines architecture design, logic design using RTL language such as Verilog/System Verilog , and system simulation.

  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.

  • Perform logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs.

  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.

  • Perform all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.

  • Analyze equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.

  • May also review vendor capability to support development


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience (Master's degree with projects/internships will also be considered) experience must include:

  • Verilog/SystemVerilog

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Verilog/SystemVerilog experience

  • FPGA experience

  • Scripting experience (e.g. TCL, Python, etc.)
