Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) as an FPGA Software Engineer!

Intels PSG has been delivering industry leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the worlds first programmable logic device in 1984. In this role, you'll be part of the team developing the next generation of FPGA design tools for Intel's PSG.  We are looking for an energetic, top-notch software engineer who will be directly responsible for building key components for a platform that enables unparalleled productivity and capabilities for our customers.

As an ideal candidate, you will have experience with building applications in C++, Java, or Python.  You must be experienced in graph algorithms and understand the relationship between client applications and underlying design databases.  You have demonstrated the experience to lead technical projects from concept to release.  You must also have demonstrated success in becoming fluent with new and unfamiliar codebases.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Design, develop and validate clean object-oriented API's and applications in either C/C++, Java, Python.

- Lead the technical definition and roadmap for core algorithm and data model projects.

- Actively contribute to all aspects of the software development process.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to turn product requirements into killer features and functionality.

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Education Requirement:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 6 years of industry work experience, or

- Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 4 years of industry work experience, or

- PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 2 years of related work experience.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

- 4 plus years of software development experience.

- 4 plus years of experience with a high-level programming language such as Java, Python, and/or C++.

- 3 plus years of experience with data structures and graph algorithms.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree or higher.

- Experience with version control systems like Perforce, CVS, or Git in a Unix/Linux environment.

- Experience working with Electronic Design Automation databases, such as OpenAccess or Milkyway.

- Experience with FPGA architecture and tools.
