Job Description

The mission of Intels Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is to drive the future for FPGA and Intel eASIC technology/solutions around the globe.

With the Platforms Solutions Stack Engineering Team, you'll be surrounded by some of the brightest minds/engineers in the world as we are responsible for developing the FPGA acceleration solutions for data centers, such as coherent attached memory pooling and SmartNIC applications.

As a FPGA RTL Design Engineer, you will...

  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC development.

  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.

  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.

  • Perform Logic design for integration of functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs.

  • Perform all aspects of the SoC design flow (e.g. high-level design, synthesis, timing analysis, etc.).


Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of total work experience (4+ years with a Masters or PhD) inclusive of experience in:

  • Verilog/System Verilog RTL design

  • RTL synthesis and timing closure

  • RTL simulation compilers (e.g. VCS, ModelSim, QuestaSim, Quartus, Vivado, etc.)

  • Python, Perl, or C based programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus

  • Unix including git make files and filesystems

  • FPGA design

  • OVM or UVM
