As a manager responsibilities may include: 

  • Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.

  • Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.

  • Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.

  • Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

  •  This specific job is to manage a product engineering team to collaborate with external silicon foundry suppliers and Intel various organizations, enable Intel outsourced new products to leading edge foundry process technologies, and support their various applications.

  • It is a job giving you wide scope of opportunities to be involved in the whole semiconductor industry ecosystem and directly work with Intel business units for Intel's market expansion.

  • Manage a product engineering team responsible for delivering products manufactured at the advanced foundry process technologies with optimal performance, power, and yield. Drive to meet schedule and deliverables.

  • Build effective relationships with top tier foundry suppliers/technical leaders and Intel internal cross functional organization management to meet/exceed performance, power, yield targets and schedule.

  • Pay great attention to details and guide the team to deliver flawless product Tape-Out and new product execution

  • Coach the team to do various in-depth device and yield analysis to investigate low yield root causes and improve product performance, power, and yield.

  • Drive design of experiments (DOE) to validate and qualify Si process improvements.

  • Oversee the group's data analytical methodology for continuous improvement.

  • Lead Task Forces or working groups for yield improvement activities or excursion management.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong knowledge on device physics, process technologies and their challenges; yield analysis and improvement methodologies.

  • Rich program management experience


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or equivalent engineering field of study.

  • 5+ years of working experience in process development of advanced logic technologies covering process integration, device optimization and yield analysis/improvement.

  • 10+ years working experience with foundry suppliers covering product design support, Tape-out, advanced logic process development, device optimization, Si manufacturing and yield improvement with in-depth knowledge of Foundry operation systems.

  • 3+ years of experience managing foundry product engineering teams.


  • Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or equivalent engineering field of study.
