The Intel Foundry Services (IFS) Team is looking for a Firmware Engineer! In this role you'll be part of a Firmware Development Team as well as an Agile SCRUM Team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Embedded architecture,  external interface FW support, and designing to product constraints.

  • Developing features that meet constraints while providing new value for the platform.

  • Source code development, review, and maintenance.

  • Unit and system level test.

  • Low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture, hardware design.

  • Storage interface standards such as CXL NVMe PCIe.

  • Debug interfaces such as JTAG, as well as debug capabilities including clear logical thinking and communication.

  • Manage development environment,  (make, Perl, SVN, GIT, Bugzilla, Jira, and System integration using 8 16 32 64 bit microcontrollers).

  • Algorithm modeling benchmarking implementation and digital signal processing.

  • Work on FW supporting Chiplets.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate should have a Master of Science degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields and 2+ years of work experience in the following:

  • Basic knowledge of FW design implementation and debugging

  • Capable at using C, C++ to solve real world problems

  • Great oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

6+ months of experience in the following (more than one is preferred)-

  • Hands on real world FW engineering experience.

  • Experience with Python,, CIAN, C/C++ languages.

  • Experience writing Unit tests.

  • Experience with Storage technologies standards including NVMe, PCI Gen4, OCP, Optane SSDs.

  • Some experience in Agile Methodologies.
