At Raytheon Missiles & Defense, you have the opportunity to try new things and make a bigger difference across a broader end-to-end solution, a richer technology and product set, an expanded range of disciplines, a growing global footprint and a more diverse team of colleagues and customers.

The JSOW & MALD programs have an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst. In this role you will include execution of several contracts between both JSOW and MALD programs. Specifically, this individual would lead efforts related to JSOW integration, training, sustainment as well as MALD-J (Air Force) sustainment and various MALD Demos. JSOW & MALD programs equate roughly to ~$150M of annual revenues primarily in support of a Navy and FMS customer base. This analyst would also have the opportunity get exposure to other contracts as their desire and skillset permits (MALD EMD, MALD LRIP, JSOW Production). This financial role serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight and guidance to program leadership in order to enable strategic decisions leading to program execution and fiduciary success. This diverse portfolio includes ongoing execution of all phases in the program life cycle, supports both DoD and FMS customers and all contract types, and therefore the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and allocate resources in a challenging, deadline driven environment. In addition, professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program, product line and functional leadership. The program includes an efficient and effective team that relies on individual drive and integrity for success. Program culture is of high priority in this environment and it is expected you are capable of building business relationships, trust and rapport with business contacts within not only the program, but also the product line and customer teams

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Assisting in the development of fundamental and intermediary analytical skills of new and junior program analysts.
  2. As the finance lead for their contracts, the expectation is that you have strong organizational skills and will manage all internal (EACs, EV, Rplan/Financial Planning) and external requirements and deadlines (CDRLs, nCDRLs) associated with contracts in your purview.
  3. In order to facilitate accurate and effective financial reporting and analysis, this position will work closely with various functional organizations to proactively analyze and articulate financial impacts. EACs and EV metrics directly inform the financial forecasting for each contract, and you will be responsible for understanding how changes in their contracts execution impact the BSEC (Bookings, sales, earnings and cash) metrics and are planned timely and accurately.
  4. The financial planning aspects are not limited to current year monthly forecasts, but also include supporting AOP (annual) strategy and the 5YP (5 Year Plan) and LRP (Long Range Planning) processes.
  5. In addition to the recurring role activities this individual will be expected to perform ad-hoc requests, design and execute creative solutions/opportunities to program and process challenges, assist in the development of fundamental and intermediary analytical skills of junior analysts, and help automate reporting and analytical tools used across the programs.
  6. Work cross functionally to accurately, compliantly and strategically prepare required EACs for all contracts assigned. On JSOW & MALD, analysts arent assigned to particular elements of cost (labor vs material), but instead are responsible for working with the IPTs and functions to consolidate their entire EAC for each of their respective contracts.
  7. Manage all internal weekly and monthly reporting requirements, working to automate as much as possible (ex. Earned Value, SAAG, CLIN LoF/LoC, Labor/Cost, BSEC, etc)
  8. Responsible for financial planning activities (BSEC, AOP, 5YP, LRP) related to their contracts
  9. Perform analysis and provide valuable, articulate, proactive feedback to program and functional teams to maximize business and program success (variance and trend analysis, leveraging historical metrics to predict future outcomes)
  10. Manage all external financial CDRLs required for their contracts, working to automate as much as possible
  11. Support ad-hoc analysis, automation requests, special projects, Y completes/closeout, etc.
