Raytheon Technologies Missiles & Defense - Woomera program has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst. Woomera is a watch program within RMD and acts as an arms-length IOT to Raytheon Technologies.
The program includes an efficient and effective team that relies on individual drive and integrity for success. Program culture is of high priority in this environment and it is expected that the candidate is capable of building business relationships, trust and rapport with business contacts within not only the program, but also the mission area and customer teams.
This candidate will be the primary financial support contact within the program and will require highly motivated individual to drive tasks to completion. Professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program and functional leadership at varying levels.
The activities will include but are not limited to :
Work closely with various functional organizations during the EAC development process; as well as monitoring these organizations performance against agreed upon budgets
Providing support of month-end close financial planning activities
Frequent interaction with various functions (including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations)
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material for current and future orders
Internal Earned Value Management reporting, including generation and analysis of monthly program metric
Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability
Ad-hoc requests
Minimum Required Education, Skills & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math or directly related degree
A minimum of 4 years experience in financial analysis or related financial experience or a related Master Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math and 2 years of directly related experience
Experience with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and other Microsoft Office tools (including Word and PowerPoint)
Experience in EVMS (Earned Value) is required
Experience using financial software systems

Strong financial analytical skills as well as a fundamental understanding of functional roles and responsibilities
Understanding of program control responsibilities which include meeting internal requirements such as coordinating budgetary agreements, preparing EACs and monthly forecasts
Experience with project or task financial management and support including analyzing budgets, monitoring actual cost data, developing forecasts, and providing variance analysis
Experience with financial evaluations of production programs, engineering projects, and/or process improvementsstrong understanding of what is driving variance within data sets
Comfort and willingness to taking on new challenges
