As a part of Apple's R&D Finance team, you will partner with Apple's engineering teams to plan, analyze, and manage the finances for some of the world's most innovative engineering development projects. We'd like you to work closely with the engineering organization and provide analyses and reporting to better inform engineering decisions.

We are seeking a professional who possesses a high level of initiative, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with Apple Finance and the Engineering business. You will perform detailed analyses, provide valuable insights and respond to changing business needs.

Key Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Program Management
  • Experience in an R&D Finance role and/or supporting engineering organizations preferred
  • High degree of enthusiasm, innovation and dedication
  • Ability to manage several responsibilities and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment
  • Work both independently and within a team environment
  • Analytical/problem-solving skills at macro and micro level
  • Work with minimal direct supervision while performing a variety of complex and non-routine tasks
  • Strong verbal and written professional communication skills; ability to compile and present data to a broad range of audiences including executives
  • Experience with quarterly accounting entries such as accruals
  • Strong financial systems and business application skills including SAP, Essbase, Filemaker, Excel, Keynote and Tableau.

Description

Operate as Financial Analyst for Apple's Hardware Engineering organization supporting iPhone Engineering.

THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:
- Developing and managing budget for OPEX and capital expenses including team headcount, product build costs based on the project roadmap, and miscellaneous engineering development costs.
- Interface directly with engineering DRIs to assess team spend against budget and prepare org-wide budget updates for engineering and finance leadership.
- Work with engineering and finance to define and implement tools and metrics for budget tracking, management, and reporting

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
