Do you enjoy working with other high output engineers? Are you experienced in creating solutions from gathering requirements all the way through user testing and deployment to production? We are seeking a FileMaker Developer with experience in database development, deployment and maintaining business-critical, multi-user solutions. You'll be an excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills, adept at translating business and technical requirements into workable technical solutions. You'll also be a great communicator, both willing to learn from and share knowledge with others.

This position is based in Elk Grove, CA.

Key Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 Years relevant experience on a Development team with a strong understanding of relational database design
  • Experience with Web Direct and basic PHP to customize web page
  • Hands-on experience working with FileMaker Pro Server
  • Experience with requirements gathering, cost estimating, and scope preparation for FileMaker projects
  • Endeavor to continue to learn and understand the customer's business, taking a proactive course in forecasting and planning for their future needs.
  • Proficient in the full database lifecycle of design, implementation, support and maintenance activities
  • Experience in AppleScript, shell script to embed into FileMaker databases
  • Experience with design and layout
  • Ability to work independently, on a team and in a dynamic environment
  • Able to manage numerous projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to change through the lifecycle of a project
  • FileMaker Pro usage familiarity; our monitoring tools are in FileMaker Pro
  • SSH
  • Bourne shell scripting (sh, bash and/or zsh)
  • AppleScript
  • Proficiency in all things FileMaker Server including External Authentication setup and maintenance, Data API Configuration, CLI, CSRs and SSI certificate request generation
  • FileMaker Pro Privilege Set familiarity
  • ODBC configuration
  • VMWare Fusion, vSphere
  • macOS Server configuration

Description
Design, develop, service and tune FileMaker databases
Develop user friendly and intuitive databases to display reports, graphs, and metrics
Document operational configurations, processes and procedures
Establish and maintain security and integrity controls
Address the full range of programming and database problems and solve those problems with minimal direction
Investigate and resolve database alerts and events, raising issues as appropriate
Identify measurements and methods for gauging database performance
Ensure availability of database systems
Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures in relation to database usage and management

Education & Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
FileMaker certification preferred
