Job Description

The Technology Development Analytics and Automation, TD ATA Oregon Automation Operations site provides sustaining support for Intel's Factory Automation software for our Assembly, Test, and Advanced Wafer Prep business partners. Factory Automation software is used to enforce business process, control processing on the manufacturing equipment and to collect data.

This role will require participation in the site on-call rotation, with a frequency of about 1 week every 2 months, providing on-call remote after-hours support if and when needed.

The Die Sort Application Owner role within Operations team includes all the following:

  • Participate in the all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - all except coding.
  • Working with Manufacturing and Engineers management to disposition customer issues and drive to closure.
  • Report software, hardware and process issues, for beta and general released software, to appropriate teams through Working Groups and incident reporting systems and track to closure.
  • Train partner level 1 and level 2 engineering support organizations.
  • Deep dive/investigate and re-categorize tickets resolved by the ticket handlers. Identify trends and opportunities for improvements.
  • Work with various partner organizations within ATTD to affect short-term/mid-term/long-term problem resolution and improve software quality.
  • Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation/Wiki.
  • Own Statistical Process Control SPC modeling and deployment for manufacturing partner organizations
  • Automate routine tasks.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or closely related fields, with 6+ months of experience in the following areas:
    • Windows operating systems, including the knowledge and manage XML configuration files, log files, diagnostic tools, software versions, etc.
    • Software engineering practices, testing methodologies, etc.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of partnership and effectiveness in a high paced and highly matrixed business environment.
  • Experience with C Sharp .NET, XML, SQL, Oracle DB.
  • Working knowledge of ATTD manufacturing processes and business environment, and the ability to follow business processes in a disciplined manner.
  • Working knowledge of all systems and applications interacting with the Station Control, Shop Floor Control (SFC) such as: Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Receipt Management System (RMS)
