Job Description

Become a part of Intel's Advance Packaging Team by joining the Substrate Packaging Technology Development (SPTD) organization. As a Factory Engineer, we deal with equipment and materials used in semiconductor assemblies so the candidate must possess knowledge/background to understand its interaction with the processes to reduce risk for the quality and performance of the devices.

Typical duties include:


-Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
-Drives improvements on quality, yield, reliability, and process stability.
-Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
-Develops strategy to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to deal with these problems in the future.
-Owns their own safety and the safety of those around them.
-Monitors trend systems (SPC Charts, Trend Scripts, Station Monitor Matching, 1-click).
-Identify and prioritize systematic mismatches across process segments and defect classes.
-Able to write scripts and define data integrity.
-Candidate will also work with virtual factory to transfer the process, train the factory engineers and to develop robust process for high volume.

Candidate must exhibit technical and communication skills to work in a highly collaborative environment.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with 3+ months of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ months of relevant experience in any of these engineering disciplines Materials Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Chemistry Physics or related discipline.

3+ months of experience in the following:

  • Data science, scripting, and visualization.
  • Process engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

3+ months of experience in the following:

  • Statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE) principles.
  • Semiconductor packaging process.
