Intel Silicon Photonics Support Lab in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking applicants for Lab Engineer positions. Lab Engineers will be responsible for working with a team of engineers and technicians in an analytical lab environment to perform TEM imaging and compositional analysis.

The Lab Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Daily operations including sample preparation, data collection and interpretation, customer interaction, tool calibration, and other lab sustaining activities

  • Providing quality and timely lab support for TD tool and process development, excursion response, low yield diagnosis and reliability requirements

  • Working in a skewed shift may be required

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Good team player, deliver to challenging project milestones, and willing to establish collaborative relationships with internal customers


Minimum Requirements:

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science

  • A minimum of 2 years lab experience in one of the following areas: Fault Isolation, Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6+ months demonstrated in-depth understanding of analytical equipment and semiconductor process flow operation

  • 6+ months knowledge of basic statistics and scripting
