Job Description

As a Wafer Test Engineer you will develop first of a kind wafer level testing methods of components used in Intel's Silicon Photonic modules. You will manage test equipment development activities to qualify new optical wafer designs and provide test feedback to Ramp teams. You will write code for software platforms to execute the tests and new setups and algorithms to extract parameters from the collected data. Strong cross functional communications with design and manufacturing teams is expected in a fast paced and challenging professional environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have PhD or Masters with 3 years experience or Bachelors with 5 years of experience with a degree in Physics Optics Photonics Material Science or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years experience with semiconductor test equipment such as parameter analyzers spectrum analyzers and switch matrices
  • 2+ years experience programming and debugging data processing algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills
  • Technical background in optical communication components and/or systems
  • Experienced with laser diode characterization and equipment for LIV characterization beam profiling spectral characterization RINSMSR
  • Experience in characterizing RF components
  • Programming experience with large projects involving multiple contributors specifically in C Python or related languages
  • 3 years Applied research or Product/Process Development experience
  • Relevant hands on experience in wafer level testing of photonic devices such as VCSELs and solid state lighting with proven ability to integrate hardware and software into high volume test solutions
