Job Description

Intel's Materials Analysis Lab in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking applicants for Lab Technician positions. Lab Technicians will be responsible for working with a team of engineers and technicians in an analytical lab environment to perform a variety of analyses to support manufacturing and technology development using various state-of-the-art analytical instruments.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for lab daily operations including lab safety, sample preparation, data collection and interpretation, customer interaction, tool calibration and other lab sustaining activities,

  • Providing quality and timely lab support for factory support, process development, excursion response, low yield diagnosis and reliability requirements.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Good team player and be able to establish collaborative relationships with internal customers.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an AA degree or higher in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and/or degree and/or background.

  • 2+ years experience of demonstrated in-depth understanding of analytical equipment and semiconductor process flow operation.

  • This position is not open for Intel immigration sponsorship

  • Candidates must be willing to work on a compressed work week schedule.   Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week. 

  • Spend the majority of the time (>90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, processing WIP.


Preferred Qualification

  • Tool hands-on experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Electron Microscopy (TEM), or similar
