The F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G Capability Growth team is looking for a highly motivated senior Operations Analyst (Level 5) for a fast paced environment in Saint Louis, MO on 1st shift.  Excellent communications skills are a must and the candidate must possess a deep technical understanding operations on tactical platforms. The candidate will be a part of the F/A-18 & EA-18G Capability Growth team and work with a group of diverse engineers in developing in developing new capabilities for the F/A-18 and EA-18G.  She or he must be able to span organizational silos and be capable of collaborating with technical SMEs, aircrew, and leadership.  Some travel (10%) required. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Shaping, coordinating, and overseeing the operations analysis effort for projects or campaigns.

  • Developing briefs to Boeing and customer leadership outlining future F/A-18 and EA-18G concepts

  • Working with the mission systems architect in developing conceptual systems architecture for the EA-18G

  • Developing white papers, performing trade studies, and providing analysis to support decision makers on assessing future system performance

  • Performing analyses of fleet operational needs, threat assessments, and assessing performance trends.

  • Working with the management to develop and maintain detailed development plans, schedules, and estimates

This position requires an active Secret or higher U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Qualifications):

  • 7+ years software development, systems engineering, integration and test or operational experience with mission systems on tactical platforms

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science related field, or military aircrew experience

  • Applicable aircrew experience acceptable in lieu of engineering degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous F/A-18 or EA-18G mission systems experience

  • Operational experience on F/A-18 or EA-18G

  • Experience with AFSIM or BRAWLER tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
