We have multipleopenings for Export Licensing Analysts. You will perform end-user analysis on behalf of the Department of Energy (DOE) for the Department of Commerce. Areas of research and analysis may include foreign entities from civil and military sectors associated with nuclear, chemical, biological, and advanced aerospace technologies. This position is within the Global Security Computing Applications Division (GS-CAD) of the Computing Directorate, matrixed to the Nonproliferation and Arms Control Group/Interdiction and Licensing Analysis Teams within the Global Security Directorate.

This position will be filled at either the 525.2 or 525.3 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.

Essential Duties
- Conduct all-source research and analyze basic data proficiently and accurately within a moderate scope; maintain an awareness of relevant current events and information.
- Input data in a multiple-lab database.
- Write clear analyses based on all-source information to accurately capture and communicate research results.
- Exercise judgement and utilize appropriate work methods, problem analysis, or resolution practices/procedures in solving technical problems of a moderate complexity and scope.
- Share common workload, attend team training events, and adjust work priorities to meet needs of both teams.
- Interact regularly with the team and supervisors, sharing and presenting ideas and solutions; interact occasionally with project management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In Addition at the 525.3 Level
- Exercise judgment to develop, modify or utilize appropriate work methods, problem analysis, or resolution practices/procedures in solving complex technical problems of a diverse scope.
- Acquire and analyze moderately complex data proficiently and accurately within general scope, requiring advanced all-source knowledge.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in intelligence, political science, English, history, or related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and significant experience.
- Ability to learn data management tools, some of which are unique to this position.
- General working knowledge of and experience with intelligence collection methods, organizations, and procedures.
- Experience providing clear analyses, accurately capturing data, and communicating research results
- Experience researching and analyzing moderately complex data.
- Experience working under general supervision, following pre-defined guidelines.
- Flexibility and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with colleagues, customers and management, in an open, friendly and professional manner, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience and knowledge of the skills needed for a customer support role to include a focus on listening, rapport-building, good communication skills, friendly and approachable nature, using creativity, imagination, and an ability to anticipate the needs of the intelligence and policy communities.
In Addition at the 525.3 Level
- Significant experience working under minimal supervision, setting own priorities, and routinely reporting progress.
- Significant experience providing clear analyses, accurately capturing data, and communicating research results.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and judgment that demonstrate creativity, imagination, and an ability to anticipate the changing needs of the intelligence and policy communities.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience and training with analytic research skills.
- Experience researching foreign entities using all sources of information.
- Knowledge of issues related to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) proliferation in foreign countries of concern to the U.S. Government.

Pre-Employment Drug Test: External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance: This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.
