This position is for a Systems Engineer to support export engineering activities on the F-35 Level 1 Training Systems Support Center (TSSC) team at Eglin AFB, Florida. The export engineering role performs releasability, export, and import activities for F-35 Training Systems products, services, and technical data. Specific activities include reviewing architecture elements and technical data to ensure releasability compliance, conducting program reviews of Technical Assistance Agreements, obtaining export certifications for technical data and services, and support of export license activities
The Level 1 TSSC is responsible for sustainment of the fielded F-35 common training system baselines across the country and around the world. The selected individual will be a member of the TSSC Systems Engineering group and will be responsible interfacing between the Training System product teams and the Foreign Disclosure/Export Control communities within LM RMS, LM Aeronautics and the US Government to ensure that exportability and releasability for all elements/versions of the Training System are properly managed across the F-35 Training System enterprise.
Additional tasks will include other systems engineering activities in support of the TSSC engineering change process. The selected candidate may be asked to assist with Training System problem capture, problem tracking, requirements management, scheduling and release processing for Training System changes.
Some travel will be required. The selected candidate will be required to hold or obtain a DoD Secret level clearance with F-35 special access

Basic Qualifications
• Systems engineering background with demonstrated understanding of all phases of product lifecycle
• Demonstrated knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as tasks required by product development teams to ensure efficient support of the F-35 export compliance program
• Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment with dynamic priorities and varying work tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired skills
• Familiarity with the F-35 Training System architecture, design, product structure and implementation
• Familiarity with F-35 issue capture and tracking tools and processes
• Familiarity with F-35 Training System change / configuration management tools and processes
• Demonstrated ability to work with geographically distributed teams
• Experience as part of an import-export compliance team
