Marcom is Apple's Global Marketing Communications group. We lead all aspects of all of Apple's advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.

The Experience Designer works with a team of visual designers, writers, and technologists to articulate the user experience for customers across a multitude of Apple's digital touch points. These include apple.com (http://apple.com/), the Apple Store app, social media platforms, and digital signage.

Responsibilities include production of clear design artifacts that span conceptual ideas to production ready assets that pay off on the opportunities identified as part of the A/B testing ideation and implementation phases. These artifacts may include site mark-up, wireframes, design, and prototypes. The designer is able to iterate rapidly as ideas emerge from testing ideation and priorities change. The collaborate effectively with copywriters, art directors, developers and cross functional teams to develop clear proposals for solutions.

The position requires a proven track record of exceptional strategic and design thinking, and a demonstrable expertise in content strategy, system design, usability, analytics, user testing, information architecture, and marketing. Particularly meaningful to the role are the oral and written communication skills to articulately express the rationale behind design decisions in an optimization context.

Description

This position will focus on collaborating with our internal Data Science team to identify, imagine, and execute fresh ideas and solutions for the apple.com (http://apple.com) platform based on experience challenges identified. These new ideas will be executed using various testing methodologies; insights gleaned from these tests will then be used across multiple teams for ongoing optimization to the platform. In addition to collaborating with the Data Science team on a day-to-day basis, this position will work with other teams (experience design, creative, and technology) to imbue new solutions with their experience, knowledge, and insights.

Education & Experience

Multidisciplinary educational backgrounds such as Psychology, Computer Science, Information Sciences, commerce/business Library Science, Human Computer Interaction or other related fields are preferred.
