The sustaining engineer role is multifaceted position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for instrumentation, equipment, and manufacturing optimization within the etch modules.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Driving improvements on safety, quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, capability, and productivity spanning variables such as material, method, equipment, environment, and operating personnel.

  • Defining and developing procedures and equipment configuration for the module with the end goal of maximizing quality, equipment availability and output.

  • Defining projects to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity, and manufacturability requirements.

  • Developing solutions to problems utilizing their formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving skills

  • Establishing and sustaining of the process control systems for the module during development and throughout high volume ramp.

  • Develops strategy to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to deal with these problems in the future.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will respond to production requests for material disposition and alarm response.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree majoring in Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear engineering, Optics, or Chemistry. Degree must be obtained by June/2022 and candidate must be willing to start within 12 months.

6+ months of experience in one or more of the following (having more than one will be preferred):

  • Semiconductor processing fundamentals (lithography, wet or dry etch, mechanical polishing, thin films deposition etc.)

  • Materials fabrication, synthesis, or metrology

  • Materials characterization (SEM, TEM, etc.)

  • Statistical or data analysis (MATLAB, Excel, JMP, etc.)

  • Semiconductor or transistor device physics

  • Design of experiment (DOE)

  • Hands-on Equipment repair (Lab equipment, automotive, electronics, etc).
