A talented and self-motivated engineer with a strong technical background in the field is invited to join one of the industry’s best ESD teams in a premier analog IC company to contribute toward challenging R&D business goals. You will get a chance to learn from the best, working together on the most interesting, diverse and challenging subjects in the field of ESD and Latchup IC’s co-design that includes automated verification rules and algorithms development, device, process, circuit design and tests. There are enough everyday technical challenges to guarantee a high level of professional satisfaction through finding novel solutions, innovation and development of new IP, conducting applied research projects and thus greatly evolve as a professional. The candidate is expected to have a strong interest and potential to bring his own expertise to a new high level eventually becoming one of the key industry experts.

The candidate is expected to bring a solid technical background in physics of semiconductor devices and process technology development, ESD and Latchup verification algorithms coding, and lab tools automation including a direct experience in Mentor PERC and Caliber, Skill code and/or other design automation tools. The primary responsibilities will include co-development of the verification codes and scripts for EDA ESD checkers as well as development of the original verification rules using automated lab tests and IC products design automated verification and co-design. Other responsibilities may include development of ESD protection solutions, pre-qualification ESD and Latchup tests including TLP, ESD pulse component, system level and Latchup tests.

 

Requirements

At least 2-5 years industrial or research experience in ESD or EDA fields. MS EE or computer science with permission to work in the US without export control limitations is necessary. New college grads, especially Ph.D. with demonstrated abilities and background, will be considered too, with corresponding level of the position adjustment.
