Key Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of product safety/compliance engineering experience with high tech products
  • BS/MS in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Highly experienced in developing and driving machine safety programs
  • Solid understanding in product safety regulations (IEC 61010, NFPA 79, CE,...)
  • Equipment safety program experience with sophisticated machinery placement world-wide
  • Experience conducting FMEA and Safety Fault Tree Analysis
  • Technical writing, data analytics/statistics and ability to build and execute presentations
  • Development skills with new programs, metrics, budgets, and needed

Description
Develop equipment safety program
Assist teams identify applicable product safety laws associated with equipment being specified, crafted, purchased for R&D or production in-house or at CM facilities
Work with teams on design reviews and early evaluation of incoming machinery
Identify lab/permit requirements ahead of equipment delivery
Build ongoing equipment/lab review process to ensure continued compliance
Develop tools, inventory, metrics and means to schedule, track and audit equipment
Ensure long-term retention for checklist, permits, approvals, etc.
Assist with new installations (lab planning, OK2USE approvals, design reviews)
Supports transition of new acquisitions into Apple, and decommissioning of old equipment
Performs site risk assessments, mitigation, move and re-mediation planning
Determines support needs against project time lines and develops project plans
Serve as EHS SME on equipment safety and regulatory compliance

Education & Experience
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject area
