What the Job Looks Like

  • Meet with stakeholders on a regular basis to determine project needs and provide updates on existing projects within several manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead planning, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
  • Complete drawings of new machines, assemblies, and concepts in AutoCAD.
  • Delegate tasks to team members according to skillset and experience.
  • Interact with internal and external clients to interpret needs and requirements.
  • Evaluate mechanical assemblies and make suggestions to improve production efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Maintain equipment files.

Important Qualifications to your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience in manufacturing or packaging industries with a focus on designing equipment and machinery.
  • Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts, such as DMAIC, Kaizen, LEAN or Six Sigma.
  • Confident in engineering principles, including geometry, loads, and power transmission.
  • Strong collaborator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible when working with others.
