Enterprise Maintenance Reliability Manager – Minnetonka, MN – Negotiable Annual Base Compensation w/full benefits – Annual Bonus Eligibility – Relocation Package Offered – Up to 50% Regional Travel Required

 

SUMMARY:                                                                                  

The Enterprise Maintenance Reliability Manager provides leadership in Maintenance and Reliability programs across the Integrated Supply Chain. This role is responsible for partnering with Plant leadership to establish a continuous improvement culture in Operational Asset Care leading to improvement in Plant Reliability. The position provides education, visibility, engagement and regular communication updates to corporate senior leadership on Reliability Programs. Beyond that the position provides support, coaching, training and development to Plant Leadership Team through Regional Reliability Specialist on proactive asset care thus enabling positive results in Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and Direct Manufacturing Expenses. The role ensure compliance to Maintenance Workflow at each site through leveraging its Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                    

  • Promote company culture, values and principles as well as participate in company functions.

  • Observes and practices all Department/Plant Procedures including wearing proper PPE, safety/Food Safety/sanitation standards, and GMP guidelines.

  • Improves the safety, reliability, and efficiency of assets through the application of engineering expertise by providing effective solutions to reliability and maintenance issues.

  • Provide Team Leadership for the Corporate Reliability Team which includes three Regional Reliability Specialist along with their direct reports, Maintenance Process Coordinator, and Maintenance SAP Coordinator.

  • Responsible for building Talent Pipeline for Maintenance through development programs and recruiting efforts by partnering with Corporate and Local HR teams.

    • Deploy Operator Asset Care and Precision Maintenance training including but limited to development of training curriculum, training materials, and formal training for mechanics and operators.

  • Create improvement plan for key performance indicators in accordance with the Best Maintenance Practices.

  • Develop Effective Proactive Maintenance strategy for Critical Equipment based on Asset criticality and Parts Criticality by partnering with Regional Reliability Specialist

    • Leverage Time-based Maintenance, Predictive / Conditional based Maintenance, Operator Asset Care and Precision Maintenance that are designed to combat inherent reliability problems.

    • Perform and Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RCM2 analysis for critical equipment and/or FMECA (Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis) for unreliable assets based on economic evaluation.

    • Utilize Critical thinking: use of logic, reasoning, and calculations to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to solve equipment problems

  • Collaborate with Corporate team stakeholders to develop/review/update technical guidelines, procedures and standards for Maintenance.

  • Provide specifications and recommend design modifications for equipment such as compressor, turbines, pumps, blowers and packaging equipment to meet sanitation and operating standard while preserving function of equipment.

  • Deliver technical support to the Engineering Department on the selection of mechanical equipment based on reliability improvements, industry codes, standards and best practices.

  • Provide input to the CAPEX plan.

KNOWLEDGE:                                                                                                  

  • Applied knowledge of RCM2 (Reliability Centered Maintenance) practices and Certified in Predictive Technology.

  • Development, and Implementation experience of Predictive Technology and Precision Maintenance

  • Strong knowledge of API, ASME, and ANSI specs/standards, specifically API 610/682/686 (Certifications is an added advantage)

  • Must have Continuous Improvement/Change Management Experience (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, TPM, RCA)

  • Demonstrated use of SAP as an effective computerized maintenance management tool

  • Working knowledge of pumps, blowers, compressors and packaging equipment design including fabrication, operation, repair, failure analysis and reliability improvement

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:                                                                    

Required:  

  • Leadership experience as Corporate Reliability Leader required

  • Plant leadership experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited University or equivalent technical experience

  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) or member of SMRP (Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals)

  • RCM Practitioner and RCFA Methodology to identify the casual factors for component, equipment or system failures

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Rotating Equipment, Reliability, Maintenance or Engineering roles

  • Ability to travel up to 50% to other sites and drive solutions to complex technical issues.

  • Computer Systems: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio); Reliability Software (Wiebul Analysis, RCM, Mechanical Integrity Software)

Desired: 

  • Corrosion Protection to control the corrosion of metal surfaces through materials selection and Cathodic Protection
