The Range & Depot Division within the LM SSC Mission
Solutions LOB is seeking an Enterprise Architect to be
responsible for the overall GPS control segment technical
architecture and provide technical and programmatic leadership
in the integration of the program schedules into the GPS control
segment enterprise schedule
• LM currently has three independent programs performing
development and sustainment work for the GPS Control
Segment. All three programs will be working to deliver critical
capabilities to support the GPS III satellite on-orbit operations
and existing constellation
• The Enterprise Architect will span all 3 of these programs to
ensure adherence to the architectural strategy, enterprise
schedule and cross-program integration business rhythms. In addition, the Enterprise Architect will ensure cross program coordination of shared resources and personnel
• The Enterprise Architect will work with program stakeholders
(internal and external), program leadership and solution
architects, to provide and ensure adherence to enterprise
solutions that address customer needs, support the Air Force’s
space enterprise roadmap and aligned with LM’s strategy
• The Enterprise Architect will coordinate the integration of the
GPS Control Segment programs with a focus on clear definition
and management of cross program integration points and
dependencies, coordination with government entities on achieving enterprise capabilities
and balancing risk/benefit across the programs as issues arise
impacting delivery of these capabilities. These capabilities include the improved operational resiliency, cyber enhancements, navigation processing and satellite TT&C
The Enterprise Architect will also lead the program teams in the continuous effort of refining the OCS Upgrade Strategy to ensure it maintains alignment with the governments goals and priorities. This requires a balance of technical skill, strategic thinking, and customer insight
• While the architect will not manage the maintenance of the
schedule, he/she will develop and manage the cross-program
integration and be the arbiter when conflicts arise
• He/She will work closely with all 3 program managers but will
organizationally report to E&T outside of the programs, ensuring
unbiased decision making
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access
to classified information

Basic Qualifications
-Significant experience in designing and developing architectures for large scale, complex Systems (preferably within DoD or IC mission areas)
-Comprehensive knowledge of, hardware, comms/network, software, and systems engineering principles
-Experience and ability to deliver results via traditional and agile based engineering development process models

Desired skills
-Familiarity with the GPS mission
-Knowledge of the GPS Control Segment is desired but not
required for candidates with previous large ground segment
development experience
